I did not want this blog to be that "political" but I am going to share my feelings about the whole Boston reaction to the Mooninite invasion.
I think in this after 9/11 world we live in sure, our guard has to be up. but I can not understand the reaction of the city of Boston and the police department after they got the first mooninite down. I was thinking they would put the alert in a "yello" mode instead of still scaring the city to death. Why would they ever think that "terrorists" would put up fake one's and real ones up in the city? I think that the city was embarrassed by the whole thing and then got really defensive. You know when someone trips on the sidewalk and instead of laughing about how they were not paying attention they look back in disgust at the sidewalk like it was someone else's fault for them falling.
During this whole episode I feel all the crazyness after they found the first one was totally reacting to be embarrassed.
The big thing is that we looked like idiots to the entire world - a city that over reacted to the internet generation. This photo sums up what other people think of the fine city of Boston...
