This morning I had no idea who this guy was.. Now after seeing a few of his presentations on the web, I think he is amazing. What I know: He is a Doctor who works for the UN regarding world poverty - one tool that he uses is data analysis. Below is a video clip of him doing a presentation at this years TED conference where he shows this amazing graphs. He is a truly great presenter and anyone can learn many things on how he does his presentation ~ no bullets just a great transfer of knowledge. After digging further I found another video of him showing the same graphs showing his native Sweden's economic growth over the last 100 years.
Still digging I found the actual tool that he uses ONLINE (from the UN). This tool just fascinated me for hours. I could compare many countries statistics over decades with a matter of clicks. A must see. Also you can download statistics from the site into your computer here.

Below is the trailer I saw on the Wii Fanboy site of the video Nintendo gave at the E3 gaming conference this week. What is Wii fit ? It is basically a add-on accessory to the Wii that uses sensors to know where you are stepping on a scale. After you see the video you will get a better idea.
I think this type of cool integration of peripherals is what is keeping Nintendo on top of Sony and Microsoft in the game market. This is not just for kids - this type of tool can be used in shooter games also. Too bad it will not be available until next year here in the states.

Merlin Mann is my hero. I have been reading his blog 43 folders for years and have really gotten a lot of good info on the GTD (getting things done) process and the dreaded email fire hose problem. Well in this video he speaks at Google headquarters about his side project called Inbox zero. It is quite lengthy (about 1 hour) but it is well worth learning how other people deal with email. Enjoy:
