A long time ago when I was really into data acquisition I built this bolting demonstration unit. It basically would show how a gasket creeps and bolting interaction. It was a great tool and since it was digital it would calculate the % bolt load loss over time.
I carried this unit to many places over the globe showing customers how important good bolting practices are to archive long joint sealing life.
